Northmont City School District and Good Samaritan Hospital Expand Partnership
with Exclusive Athletic and Sports Medicine Sponsorship
Good Samaritan Hospital and the Northmont Board of Education approved a 10-year agreement in which Northmont will receive athletic training and sports medicine services, funds to support its athletic programs and health and nutrition education in exchange for naming rights to its football stadium and other cooperative marketing programs.
The sponsorship agreement, valued at $1 million over a 10-year period, will be used for needed renovations to Northmont athletic fields and sports facilities, including a new stadium press box. The sponsorship will create safer playing conditions for male and female athletes across all sports while providing support for sports programming and improved access to top quality health care services. Students, faculty and staff from Northmont schools will also be able to take advantage of prevention, wellness and nutrition education services from Good Samaritan Hospital.
Over the last 10 years, Good Samaritan North Sports Medicine has worked with Northmont and provided athletic training and team physician services. The hospital program also offers sports performance enhancement, physical therapy, injury prevention and rehabilitation services.
Good Samaritan’s mission is to build healthier communities with others who share our commitment to provide high-quality, cost-competitive health-care services. Good Samaritan will be focusing on the needs of our northern communities and schools and leveraging the talent of our medical staff and specialists as well as hospital resources to encourage healthier lifestyles in our youth and neighboring communities.
